Corporate Sponsorships

The Endowment Fund (formerly known as The Mustang Fund) is the not-for-profit fundraising arm of our school's PTO, dedicated to Montgomery Elementary School’s pursuit of excellence in education.  The Endowment Fund focuses on building relationships with community partners and facilitating corporate sponsorships. Your support can and will make a difference in the lives of our children and the future of our community!

Your Endowment in Action

The PTO brings together parents, teachers, neighbors, businesses, administrators and staff working toward a common goal: Excellence in public education. Our vision is to ensure that Montgomery continues to be a top-scoring, sought-after public elementary school within the Chamblee cluster of northern Dekalb County.

The Endowment Fund is Committed To:

  • Enhancing the learning environment for every Montgomery Elementary School student;
  • Investing in faculty, programming and equipment to continue to offer a first-rate educational experience;
  • Providing for innovative curriculum enhancements;
  • Giving back to students, parents, and faculty; and
  • Maintaining and strengthening the vitality of this dynamic community in which we live, learn, play, and work.

The Fund’s past campaigns have supported our mission of making strategic investments in: educational enhancements (grants for Orton-Gillingham Certification, Science Olympiad, STAR reading supplemental materials, FIRST Lego League, and STEM curriculum) and capital improvements (STEM lab, new playground, updated hallways and a refurbished foyer).

Your Dollars at Work

Sponsorship contributions have helped with the following efforts and more:

  • Technology Innovation Lab

  • STEM Certification
    In March 2017, MED was designated a STEM (Science - Technology - Engineering - Math)-certified school by AdvancED. Only 74 schools across the country received the distinction, at the time. The Fund continues to support this effort with ongoing staff training.
  • Orton-Gillingham Training Support
    The majority of Montgomery staff are trained in Orton-Gillingham, an evidence-based instructional approach to improve students' reading, spelling, and writing skills.
  • New State of the Art Playground!
